It feels like time has been going by so quickly these days, that sometimes we forget if we're coming or going.
Waaaay back in January (which seems like it was just a week ago), SHARP at Flemo, Cycle 2 began with 14 awesome participants. As usual, everyone was timid and skeptical about what was in store, but those who stuck it out reaped the rewards and benefits (volunteer hours) of all their time spent in the program. It's hard to imagine that TEN whole weeks have passed and that the cycle has already come to an end! The shock, awe and withdrawal haven't fully set in as yet, but I'm sure they'll hit with full force on Thursday when I'll be on my way to the office, instead of on my way to SHARP at Flemo...
Though the cycle has ended, we're thankful for all the amazing SHARP-ies we had the chance to work with over the past 10-weeks! Everyone brought something totally different to the program, and we're grateful to have had the opportunity to meet all of them! Our SHARP-ies this time around were: Nada A., Latifa Y., Daynea P., Maliha T., Merve K., Arifin R., Zarmina L., Freshtah A., DeathRace, Romel TM., Eaba D., Niya A., Amrin K., and Qadria L. You each brought amazing energy to the program and we'll forever be indebted to you for providing a unique and fun learning experience!
Now, with all that mushy stuff said and done, now that the program is done, we're hoping our newly "graduated" SHARP-ies will remember the very quick and easy way to earn additional volunteer hours! *hint**hint**wink**wink*
